Weather conditions in Saskatoon took residents back in time to winter. Last night the city received about 20cm of wet and heavy snow. .

Although the snow is expected to melt, the City of Saskatoon has clean-up equipment working to clear the city’s streets. Two speed plows, four graders, one plow four sanders and 12 contracted graders are clearing the snow.

The City’s spokesperson says that priority is based on snow melt and trouble spots. The plan is to have plows and sanders on Circle Drive while graders and sanders clear the priority streets. Once the priority streets are completed they will move snow from the other streets that are frequently used by drivers.

Currently, Circle Drive has one lane open. Traffic on downtown and main streets is moving slowly.
