Crews are making progress on clearing Saskatoon streets in the aftermath of Monday’s deluge of snow.

The City of Saskatoon said Tuesday that civic and private contractor crews finished clearing Priority 1 streets Monday and began work on clearing Priority 2 roads including rapid transit bus routes and high traffic streets such as Broadway Avenue, Fairlight Drive and 37th Street.

As of 6 a.m. Tuesday approximately 40 per cent of Priority 2 streets had been cleared.

Work will continue Tuesday on those streets and crews start clearing Priority 3 streets as well as sidewalks and pathways.

Streets designated as Priority 3 under the city’s snow clearing plan include main streets and streets around schools, as well as the remainder of arterial and collector roads.
