RCMP expect to lay a criminal negligence charge after a woman was struck by an unauthorized firework at the Craven County Jamboree near Regina.

Police say the young woman was hit beneath the eye when the explosive went off Saturday night at the music festival, but the extent of her injuries isn't known.

Overall, Mounties arrested 65 people at the event but say most of the campers were well-behaved.

Nearly 230 tickets were handed out on the roads around Craven, while police are still investigating a report of a sexual assault on Friday night.

The final attendance is expected to be around the 25,000 mark.
