Canada has a new top cop and he hails from Saskatchewan. Prince Albert police chief Dale McFee has been elected president of the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police.

Chief McFee is a 25-year veteran of the Prince Albert police service. He will serve as president for a two year term.

Chief McFee currently serves as the president of the Saskatchewan Association of Chiefs of Police. In 2001 he was appointed to the Canadian Order of Merit of the Police Forces.

He takes over the presidency from William Blair, the police chief in Toronto.
