Cameron Scott is seeking the Saskatchewan Party’s nomination for the newly vacant Saskatoon Fairview MLA seat.
The nomination comes after Jennifer Campeau stepped down to take a job with Rio Tinto in B.C.
Scott is currently elected to the Saskatoon Public School board as a trustee for Ward 4.
His announcement comes shortly after Vicki Mowat announced she is seeking nomination to be the NDP candidate.
A byelection must be held within six months to fill the vacant seat.
