Andrew Albers could be wearing a Toronto Blue Jays jersey next time he steps on the Major League mound.

The 29-year-old left-handed pitcher from North Battleford, Sask. has signed a minor-league contract and been invited to spring training with the team, the Jays announced Friday morning.

Albers, who pitched with the Minnesota Twins in 2013, played last season in the Korea Professional Baseball League for the Hanwha Eagles.

He sported a 6-13 record with the Eagles and finished with a 5.88 earned run average.

With the Twins he went 2-5 with a 4.05 ERA.
