Saskatoon-based Cameco Corporation is under increased pressure to keep Rio Tinto Limited off its home turf of northern Saskatchewan.
This news came after Rio Tinto Limited sweetened its offer Thursday for junior uranium developer Hathor Exploration Limited.
Hathor's board is recommending shareholders accept Rio Tinto's higher offer and reject Cameco's bid of $625 million.
