Atchison sets goal of 2500 housing units in next five years

Incumbent mayor Don Atchison has set a goal of 2500 new housing units to be built over the next five years.

He made the announcement Wednesday morning by the site of the old St. Mary's School, which is within blocks of existing affordable housing units.

Reducing homelessness is one of the Atchison's goals in creating the extra housing.
