Police are seeking a suspect after a Saskatoon bar was robbed at gunpoint Sunday evening.

A suspect armed with a handgun walked into Maguire's Irish Pub on Eighth Street East at approximately 9 p.m., threatened an employee and got away with an undisclosed amount of money. A police canine unit tracked the suspect for about three blocks before losing the trail. No one was injured in the incident, police said in a news release.

Police said the individual is believed to be male, but the person's face was concealed by a mask. The suspect is described as 5-foot-7 in height and was wearing a dark coat, a white hoodie and a light-coloured facemask.

In a separate call Sunday, police responded to a report of two males with a shotgun at a house on the 300 block of Avenue H South at approximately 8 p.m.

The suspects, aged 20 and 16, fled on foot before officers could arrive, but both are known to the owners of the residence. Police said the suspects committed no overt acts of aggression or intimidation and it is not known how the firearm came to be in the home.

Police are seeking the two men to determine why were in possession of the weapon.
