If you were looking for an apartment in Saskatoon during the last few months, you  know the market is tight, but according to Canada Mortgage and Housing the vacancy rate has remained stable.

The vacancy rate during October in the city was 2.6 per cent - unchanged from one year ago. The agency says while more units have been built, there has also been more immigration into the city, so the vacancy rate hasn't changed.

Average rent for a two-bedroom apartment is at $1,002 per month. Bachelor suites average $655 in Saskatoon, and one-bedroom units average $815 per month.

If it’s any consolation, the rental market is Regina is even tighter, with vacancies at one per cent. Vacancies in Prince Albert are at six per cent, while in North Battleford the vacancy rate is 4.2 per cent.
