Graphic anti-abortion flyers dropped in Saskatoon mailboxes this week are not criminal in nature, police say.

Police received a formal complaint Friday morning from at least one Saskatoon parent calling for charges in relation to the flyers — which show images of aborted fetuses.

“I have two young children. My neighbour's granddaughter vomited when she saw that filth that they put in their mailbox,” the parent, Robert Rudachyk, told CTV.

“There is no excuse for this. None at all. These people have no right to shove their political opinions down our throats in such a graphic, gory and brutal manner.”

The pamphlets — which appear to be a political shot at federal Liberal leader Justin Trudeau — were distributed by the Canadian Centre for Bio-Ethical Reform, a group based in Calgary.

Police said, after receiving a legal opinion on the brochures, they will not be investigating complaints regarding the flyers.
