An 18-year-old man is dead after he was injured by a piece of machinery at a workplace north of Saskatoon.

Emergency crews from Warman were called to a business in the Corman Park Industrial area around 8 p.m. Tuesday following a report of a workplace accident.

RCMP arrived to find an unresponsive man and, shortly after paramedics arrived, he was pronounced dead.

Initial investigation shows the man was injured by a piece of machinery, Mounties said in a media release.

The province’s Ministry of Labour Relations and Workplace Safety — specifically, the ministry’s Occupational Health and Safety division — will be conducting a further investigation into the incident, police said.

The 18-year-old’s name has not yet been released.

No other employees were injured.
